Christmas is only 9 days away and the time couldn't be more perfect to whip out the special dinnerware set to get ready for the most wonderful time of the year.
It's a special time in our home because we get to celebrate Jesus; He is the reason for the season and we always feel so blessed to see the end of the year and bask in the goodness of His blessings.
In our home, December is packed with birthdays and anniversaries and as you can imagine, the gift list is usually endless at this time of the year. Lot's of gifts to wrap which I usually do all on my own, but this year, I got everyone involved right from setting up the tree to wrapping and addressing cards. It's been fun!
One of the things that makes Christmas really special for me is being able to host my friends and family, but as we all know, the current situation around the world hasn't really given the room for large gatherings which is a bit sad. Nevertheless, it's a tradition for me, and so I set the table for my little family and I and we'll remind ourselves that we're here..healthy and together. That's important!
After watching this video on how to fold your Christmas dinner napkins about 5 times, I thought I'd give it a go and I must say, it didn't turn out half bad.
I learnt that, your start off may be shaky, but keep going and it'll all be perfect in the end. Watch the video above and you'll see what I mean lol
I usually have my bouquet of flowers in a see through vase as a centre piece on my dinning table, but swapped it for this Deluxe floristry wooden box to bring in the festivity. It's simple but really complements the dark marble effect of my table. I love how the white baubles pop out to brighten the whole set up.
White dinnerware will always be timeless and paired with gold is such a beautiful combination. I was going for simple elegance this year and so I swapped my pink plate set for this white marble effect set which really ties in with the rest of the décor on the table.
Candles add that warm vibe to any space making it cosy and romantic in a way. Don't you agree?. Here, I wanted a bit of contrast to the white and something to add colour without disrupting the elegant theme. These orange candle sticks are perfect because they also blend in with the rose gold frames on the wall.
All in all, it turned out how I imaged it and I'm now looking forward to eating here and spending time with my family this Christmas. Thankful and blessed to see the end of 2021.
What are you thankful for this year?
Till my next post, I'm sending you love and light!
